Highways from all points in South-Eastern Ontario join Hwy. 401 from anywhere in Ontario into Buckhorn.
If you are on Hwy. 401 between Ottawa to Toronto, Buckhorn is connected and a short distance away. Just head to the Kawarthas (Peterborough) follow Hwy. 28 North to Buckhorn Road (Old Hwy 507) or County Rd. 36 in Burleigh Falls.

Buckhorn is located one hour by air to Toronto, Ottawa & Montreal, and two hours from all mayor northern States in the United States.Buckhorn is geographically closer to Peterborough & Lindsay than any other major Canadian city like Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. The Peterborough Municipal Airport is the South-Easter Ontario hub for all domestic, regional and international services. Run way is 2Km long. Travel Advisory
As of mid-January all air travelers entering the United States must present a valid passport. This new requirement applies to all air travelers from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda, as well as American citizens returning home.
U.S. citizens traveling to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda who have applied for but not yet received passports can nevertheless temporarily enter and depart from the United States by air with a government issued photo identification and Department of State official proof of application for a passport through September 30, 2007.
