Winter in Buckhorn
Buckhorn Area Winter Accomodations

The Buckhorn area is not just for summer visiting. The area comes alive with freshly fallen snow. Whether you prefer a housekeeping cottage or a bed and breakfast or a full service lodge, Buckhorn offers all types of winter accommodation for your winter get-away. You can sit by the fireside and relax or enjoy the out-of-doors activities such as skating, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and hiking.

If shopping is on your list of “things to do”, the area has many stores for you to peruse. Once per month, the Buckhorn Observatory hosts an evening of stargazing in the area. Learn of the heavens under the crisp winter air.

There are local restaurants available for your dining pleasure and the Buckhorn Community Centre has their “Nick” of Time Craft Show and Peterborough host their annual Festival of Trees the end of November.

Enjoy the many winter activities in the Kawarthas from your Buckhorn District base.
